What does the wedding booking process look like?
The first step is to inquire! Tell me a bit about your wedding, its location, date, etc! (its totally ok if you don't have all the details yet!). From then, I will let you know if that date is free for me or not. If it is free we will schedule a consultation zoom call (we can talk for as long or as little as you'd like!). We will discuss everything from what you're looking for in your photos, all the little details of your wedding, and pricing details. After the call if you decide to move forward with me as your photographer you can just send me an email! I will draft up a legal contract of wedding services that we can workshop together. Once that is signed I am set for your date, and available by email and zoom appointments to discuss anything that comes up regarding coverage of your wedding. I like to create a shared Pinterest board for wedding clients so that we can mood board wedding photography ideas and inspiration together, I will frequently check this board leading up to the wedding so that I can incorporate into my creative direction of your wedding coverage.
WHAT IS A SECOND SHOOTER?
A second shooter is a trusted photographer I hire for your wedding day to be by my side during the day. They will take photos on their own personal camera, but are not responsible for any of the editing. All of the editing of any images taken on your wedding day will be done by me in my own personal style. I hire second shooters who have similar styles to me so that your final gallery is cohesive. The second shooter will be present for most of the day, but often leaves around the beginning of the dance floor time at most receptions. The cost of a second shooter is included in the full price you pay for wedding photography services through my business.
DO I REQUIRE A DEPOSIT?
yes, a 30% deposit is required upon booking any type of session.
I feel AWKWARD BEHIND THE CAMERA, WHAT DO I DO?
Believe it or not, as a photographer I feel awkward behind the camera too. I understand how both intimate and intimidating being photographed can be. I am there to help you through every step of the way. I prefer showing my clients how to pose by first demonstrating it myself, so that you can clearly see the poses I am attempting to direct you to do. We will work together to create images that make you feel comfortable, yourself, and beautiful. There is no wrong way to be photographed. You are more than welcome to take breaks, offer suggestions, and play music or anything else that soothes your nerves during a shoot. I know how much trust it takes to have someone else take your photos, so I do my best to make the experience as smooth as possible. At times, sessions can just feel like we are two friends taking a walk together, who just happen to be stopping to take photos in different locations.
CAN I BRING A FRIEND/PARTNER/FAMILY MEMBER
Yes, you are more than welcome to bring others along! I do ask that no more than two additional people that are not being photographed are present for most sessions. Exceptions to this would be: engagements, elopements, and weddings. From experience, it is easier to connect from client to photographer when less people are present. I totally understand wanting a friend, partner, or family member present I just ask that it is kept to a maximum of two.
